Real Keyboard Tester is a free tool provided as is, for checking whether the keys on a keyboard respond. Results are a guide only. A key that does not light up can have software or system causes as well as hardware causes, so confirm on another device before buying a replacement.

Fair use

You may use the tool for personal and work testing. Do not attempt to disrupt the site or misrepresent the tool as your own.

Liability

We are not responsible for decisions made only on the basis of a test result, such as discarding a keyboard that later turns out to work.
